Frequently
Asked Questions
Q? What is ICAP?
A: The ICAP Buyers Network is a web-based salvage
re-marketing company which is properly licensed to purchase salvage in every
state.
Q? How does ICAP work?
A: As an ICAP customer, you
bid through the Bid-ICAP.com web site, which then represents you at the actual
auction. ICAP purchases the vehicle and then sells it to you. All transactions
through the site are between you and ICAP, not the auction. The actual auction
cannot accept payment for ICAP transactions.
Q? Can I visit the auction
facility to preview cars at sales?
A: Occasionally. Because ICAP
works with many independent auction facilities, rules and regulations vary. Do
not hesitate to ask. We will do the best we can to get you in!
Q? Is it possible to view
vehicles inventory not yet scheduled for sale?
A: Yes, ICAP has over 35,000
Salvage vehicles in inventory that will be sold in the near future. You can
flag vehicles of interest and the site will notify you when they become
scheduled for sale. Once a vehicle is scheduled for sale, you can view complete
vehicle details including photos and title info and begin bidding!
Q? Are there lots of extra
fees involved with this service?
A: Absolutely not. ICAP
charges one single, all-encompassing buyers fee which varies depending on the
final sale price of the vehicle.
Q? I just registered and
attempted to log in, but it says that my login is expired. Why do I not yet
have access to the site yet?
A: Your registration must be
approved by ICAP before you can begin utilizing the site. Be sure you fax a
copy of your drivers license and any other applicable
licenses to 563-285-6539 or e-mail them to support@bid-icap.com
for approval.
ICAP = salvage | insurance auto | wrecked | damaged | repairable
